Hi Lisa! Thank you for having me! It is a pleasure to be here!

Tell us a little about yourself.  Did you always want to be a writer?
LL: To be completely honest, I never really knew what I wanted to do for a career. One day I wanted to be a vet and the next a dentist, but I have always had a soft spot for writing. As a child, my favourite thing to do was read. Whilst all the other children were playing outside, I was curled up in bed with my head in a Roald Dahl book. A few years ago, I decided to pick up a laptop and try to pen my own story. After many months of tapping away at a keyboard, the Clara Andrews series was born and I have never looked back.

Where did the idea for your Clara Andrews series come from?  Is it based on anyone you know?
LL: I guess I can see a lot of my younger self in Clara and I think many people can relate to her. The Clara Andrews series focuses on a young woman’s life and the mistakes that she makes along the way. Dating the wrong men, drinking one too many cocktails and falling in love too quickly are things that we are all guilty of at some point in our lives. The series was never meant to change the world, or be taken too seriously. I aimed to create a fun, frothy series that would bring a little sparkle and laughter to people’s lives.

Are you a planner or a pantser when it comes to your writing?
LL: I am a planner, although I do find myself changing direction slightly halfway through a story.

Here are a few quick one-word answer questions:
Coffee or Tea? If you even have to ask that question, we can’t be friends. Coffee each and every time.
Wine or Beer?  Wine! I love a spicy Rioja or a crisp glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
Cake or Pie?  I prefer savoury foods, but I do love a cherry pie or a slice of chocolate fudge cake.
Toilet paper roll Over or Under?  Over. I have literally just been upstairs to check as I had no idea!
Burgers or Pizza?  Pizza! Always pizza! I am a pescetarian, so burgers aren’t really on the menu for me.

 What advice would you give to aspiring authors?
LL: Rome wasn’t built in a day. Never give up on your dreams.
