Sorry to interrupt this quiet Sunday, but both of my books are currently in the TOP FIVE on AMAZON!!!

So, I joined Twitter a while ago (follow me! @LisaEmmeBooks) and I have to say, it can be rather entertaining. It can also be a complete time waster, so you have to be careful. I’m using an approach where you only spend six minutes at a time.
Anyway, what I was really posting about is how I’ve found lots of fun profiles to follow. A couple of my favourites belong to Kevin Hearne, author of the Iron Druid Chronicles (an urban fantasy series I highly recommend). Hearne has created accounts for two of the characters from his books, Oberon, a talking Irish Wolfhound and Owen, a druid from ancient Britain that was asleep for a thousand years and has woken up now in the 21st Century. Needless to say, he’s suffering a bit of culture shock. Owen and Oberon often have some very fun banter. Happy Friday!

I received a nice surprise today – an early review on an advance copy of Home Again that I had sent out.
Home Again is contemporary romance/romantica (yes, it has SEX). It was actually the very first book I ever wrote. I wrote it for two reasons: 1. There was this idea in my head and it wouldn’t leave me alone, and 2. To prove to myself I could do it. Actually, there was a third reason. I decided if I was going to write a book, I’d want to get it published so I picked a genre in which the publishing companies were still accepting unsolicited manuscripts, that is, manuscripts directly from the author rather than from an agent. I’m not going to get into the whole traditional vs. indie debate right now. I think I’ve made it pretty clear where I currently stand on the issue. I’m just very happy to have the opportunity to share this story with you. Home Again will always be dear to my heart.

Recently, I was interviewed by fellow indie author Thomas M. Watt. It was a lot of fun. He asked some interesting questions. I particularly enjoyed the question about what I thought would happen if Harry met Cole from the movie the Sixth Sense. Check it out!
